Effortless Exercise

Published in July - September 2008 edition of Cabo Noche magazine

Exercise

In Baja, Mexico, the key to looking good is easier than you may think. In Cabo, you have many opportunities to enjoy what Cabo Noche likes to call “effortless exercise”. What? Exercise and effortless in the same sentence? There must be some sort of some mistake?

Why is exercise so much work? Why can't it be easier? Well, in Cabo, it can be just that!

The climate, serenity and variety of Los Cabos' nature offer endless possibilities of exercise, cleverly disguised as “activities,” for you to experience and enjoy. In the following pages, Cabo Noche will present some of our favorite suggestions, which if you choose to experience, will not only be fun, but could become part of your new effortless exercise program.

If you're here on vacation, the following activities are the perfect way to enjoy your trip. They will allow you to discover Baja, while exercising at the same time. Here is your chance to return home looking better than ever, relaxed, tan AND fit.

Tennis

Tennis can be a family sport, a couple's workout or even a solo pastime, and age is not relevant. Playing tennis exercises your mind and body at the same time. The competitiveness can be fun too – there is something about “winning” that nearly everyone enjoys.

Tennis has been making a come back lately too, especially right here in Cabo. The Palmilla Tennis Club is now open at Villas de Oro, and has set the standard with its world-class design and quality.

Palmilla Tennis Club features five professional courts; two made of Har- Tru clay, the most popular and most professional clay surface in the sport and three of Plexicushion and Plexipave, a hard professional, yet rubberized surface that is forgiving on the feet and legs.

Tennis lessons at Palmilla Tennis Club are available for novice and veteran players. Ball machines are also available for you solo players looking to practice your swing. Use of rackets and balls are complimentary. Day or night, Palmilla Tennis Club is open weekdays from 8am to 8pm and from 8am to 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays. For more information, visit Palmilla Tennis or call 624.144.5662.
